Fragrance composition:
The fragrance opens with a sparkling accord of black and pink pepper, intensified by incense. The blend of geranium and nutmeg creates a fresh and elegant effect, framed by balsamic and woody notes. In the dry-down, sweet elemi fuses with tonka beans, softening the virile combination of patchouli, cedar, and vetiver.

Fragrance story:
Amouage Honour is inspired by the famous story of Madama Butterfly, the geisha who married an American and waited in vain for three years for his return. It recalls the final act of Giacomo Puccini’s 1904 opera, in which the protagonist (nicknamed Butterfly) cannot endure her tragic fate and takes her own life. The men’s version of Amouage Honour symbolizes the son of Madama Butterfly, taken away to America by his father. It tells the story of the son as an adult, remembering his mother and reconciling with her. This fragrance is at once a funeral ode, a tribute, and an invitation to remembrance.
